Student Leaders

Ashton Perry

Ashton is a Junior from Wake Forest, NC.  She's a Communication Disorders major who, after grad school, hopes to focus her career as a speech therapist on serving the local Hispanic community. Her favorite things are Sunday lunches with her family, trips to Emerald Isle, NC; and hammocking on the parkway. She's ready to grow deeper in love with Jesus, and excited to share that Love with other girls in CCF as a vessel group leader.

Brett Boyles

Brett  is CCF's outdoor ministry leader with and is a sophomore at He is a mathematics education major and a Spanish minor.  Whenever he is not in school, you can probably find him hunting or fishing somewhere.  He also enjoys all types of sports, specifically basketball and baseball.  Brett has went on mission trips to all parts of the United States for each of the past six summers with an organization called World Changers.

Chris Morris

Chris oversees the set-up and sound at Immersion.  He is from a small town called Marshville, NC.  He is a computer information systems major that enjoys hanging out with friends, working at Wal-Mart, playing xbox and hunting.

Heidi Hoelzle

Heidi Hoelzle is our president and a vessel group leader. She became a follower of Christ two years ago
and enjoys sharing her love for Him with others. Heidi loves football, especially App and the Steelers. She
also enjoys spending time with friends playing games and watching movies. She’s a senior from Raleigh,
NC majoring in health promotions.

Kathryn Peverall

 

Kathryn is a sophomore dietetics major. She is from Wilmington, North Carolina. Her loves are anything outdoors: hiking, camping, running, walking, attempting sports. She has found that Boone is the perfect area to experience these loves. Other loves include food--- eating and preparing--- especially food in the fall season.  She is currently CCF's Outreach leader. As such she is responsible for creating ways for our ministry to impact the community of Boone as well as the Appalachian State community. "My heart reaches to the broken and the lost and as such, I try my best to demonstrate the love of Jesus towards them."

 

Keaton Spillman

Keaton is a junior majoring in special education. Some of his hobbies and interests include fishing, hiking, camping, any kind of sports, and reading Christian-based books.  Keaton is using his interest and love of the Lord to build one on one relationships this year as a vessel group leader.

 

Kelsea Fox

Kelsea is a vessel group leader and from King, NC.  She is a sociology major concentrating in family development. She loves people, especially developing deeper relationships with girls through one-on-one meetings. Look for her in the Solarium or Crossroads and you are sure to find her! Upon graduating this year, Kelsea hopes to go to seminary. She wants to one day be a marriage and family counselor and serve the Lord in India.

 

Kristi Brown

Kristi is the leader of the Greeting Team. She loves making people feel at home when they walk through the door. She is a sophomore and her major is English because, in her words, "I love to write." She is passionate about helping others, especially in their relationship with God. She has a dream to see the world one day, particularly Africa. Also, she is obsessed with coffee, because, in her words its super delicious.

Kyle Johnson

 Kyle is from Raleigh, North Carolina. His hobbies include spending time outside, playing almost any sport, eating, listening to music (all genres except country) and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kyle is a co-leader of the Hospitality Team, which includes the Films for Fellowship ministry.

Lucas Onan

Lucas Onan leads our men's ministry and is a junior with a recreation management major and double minors in sociology and entrepreneurship. Lucas loves the outdoors, playing sports, exploring new things and, of course, Jesus! He spent the summer in the Grand Teton National Park working as a part of an organization called A Christian Ministry in the National Parks. Through this organization he worked a 40 hour job as a retail clerk in Jackson Lake Lodge, and also was a part of a team that conducted interdenominational worship services every Sunday. After college, Lucas plans on opening up a Christian-based outdoor camp that will help people to interact with others and realize their potential. He is glad to be back and excited to see what God has in store for CCF this year!

 

Patti Burgess

Patti Burgess is a senior studying recreation management.  Her hobbies/ interests include being in the warm sunshine, skydiving, cutting grass, playing softball and volleyball, and traveling anywhere and everywhere.  Patti is the  leader of the Follow-Up Team this year, which focuses on connecting people with the community in which they are a part of and providing opportunities for people to serve and to be served.

 

Stacie Siers

Stacie is a vessel group leader, and is very excited about what the Lord is doing in CCF. She enjoys watching and playing football and basketball, hanging out with friends, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Her major is middle grades education, concentrating in science and social studies.
